When you jump on a DMT spring rotation account for more inertia than from spring stretching. By shifting the center of gravity of the spring towards the rotational inertia is greatly reduced. Rapid springs develop tension in less space, so a strong light cord is used between the bed and the springs to create the weight shift.
The Rapid springs feel 20% lighter to the athlete even though in fact they weigh a bit more. Light means rapid, and rapid means more power. The bed comes up quicker and vibrates a lot less.
Rebound Products has always been a champion of heavier springs, as we want to provide you with value. The maximum distance a spring can be stretched without damage, for a given quality of wire, is roughly proportional to its weight. However, a small increase in weight can give a large increase in lifetime as the probability of each degree of damaging spring extension is drastically reduced. (In this case a 10% weight increase results in about double the lifetime.)
Now you can have your cake and eat it too! Compared to conventional DMT springs these RAPID springs both last longer and add performance! The first generation was a symmetrical spring as shown in the comparison photo. The current version has a shorter frame side hook for additional weight shift. More power packed into a compact little package.
